Vardharma Law in New Delhi announced that Vidula Mehrotra has been promoted to partnership and that Roshni Khirbath joins the firm’s senior ranks, bringing the leadership team to three members.
Mehrotra, an Advocate-on-Record before the Supreme Court of India, has been with the practice since its launch. Prior to the promotion she served as a senior associate, handling a broad mix of civil, commercial and constitutional matters.
Her nine-year bar career includes regular appearances before the Supreme Court, the Delhi High Court and specialized tribunals. She has filed Special Leave Petitions, writs, contempt actions and criminal appeals, and has managed cases involving service law, insolvency and arbitration.
“Being an Advocate-on-Record has meant taking direct ownership of matters before the Supreme Court, from filing through to final hearing,” Mehrotra said. “As the firm’s litigation practice grows, I want to keep that same level of direct, senior involvement in every matter we take on, regardless of scale.”
Khirbath joins the Firm’s partnership, leading Strategic Growth and Client Partnerships. Her mandate centres on strategic development, client engagement and the Firm’s external and international relationships, working closely with its litigation, transactional and cross-border practices.
“This step comes at a point when the firm’s litigation and arbitration practice, alongside its private equity, M&A and cross-border work, are all scaling at once. My focus will be on making sure the firm’s relationships with clients, investors and international partners grow in step with that.”
Managing partner Somesh Tiwari said the appointments reflect the firm’s continued growth. He noted, “Vidula has been part of this firm’s growth for several years, and this promotion formalises the role she already plays. She has run some of our most significant matters before the Supreme Court with complete independence, and that kind of ownership is exactly what we want more of as the litigation practice scales.
